Alex Morrison is the President and Founder of Lynn Street Partners.   Alex has held a variety of leadership roles in the education and workforce segments ranging from Interim President to SVP of Sales, Partnership and Business Development. Most recently, Alex spent over 3 years at Strada Education. While at Strada, Alex oversaw the strategic partnership team that supported Strada and all of its affiliate (portfolio companies) in establishing direct and indirect revenue partnerships. While at Strada, Alex also served as Interim President of Strada's affiliate non-profit, CAEL where he focused his efforts on revenue growth, operational efficiency and leadership development. Prior to Strada, Alex operated Lynn Street Partners full time for 3 years advising a variety of clients.

Before opening Lynn Street Partners, Alex served as Vice President, Business Partnerships, at Discovery Education. In this role, he oversaw development and management of business-to-business relationships to support Discovery Education’s business in U.S. and Canadian markets. Working with partners ranging from hardware and OS platforms to portal and learning management systems, Alex developed relationships with more than 400 educational technology companies. He negotiated partnership agreements and managed and maintained those relationships through partner implementations.

Alex also played a critical role in advising Discovery’s Business Development group on potential investments and acquisitions in the educational technology sector and advised Discovery Education’s internal leadership on emerging trends in education technology. Alex was also a senior member of Discovery Education’s International team leading sales and partnership efforts in Latin America and East Africa.

Prior to his work with Discovery Education’s partnership and international teams, Alex led Discovery Education’s sales strategy across 37 states and served as the primary contact for the largest K-12 school district superintendents and state level administrators of those states. Before Discovery Education, Alex held the role of Director of Special Markets at Discovery’s Domestic Distribution division in which he directed business relations and distribution activities for all non-cable customers (utilities, emerging technologies and telephone companies).

Alex graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife Bridget and their four children.
